Sequoia is a third year doctoral student in the Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education program at Washington State University. Her research focuses on health and wellness education, in both formal and informal settings. She has worked on projects in Indigenous Education and Community based research.
Sequoia utilized her training in education to guide her wellness coaching as she collaborates and assists clients with programs to improve their health in different aspects. She believes that educating clients to understand the way their bodies work in relation to their movement and nutrition choices is the way to building a strong foundation for change. She has 15 years of experience in working with youth programs and coaching and 5 years of experience in the fitness industry.
